As a CLIA certified lab StatMed Urgent Care Center now offers COVID-19 antibody testing. This technology was fast tracked by an FDA Emergency Use Authorization order. If you take a swab test it’s on or off. You have the virus or not. They, if properly done, are swabbing for genetic RNA of the virus. This test analyzes specific antibodies we produce. At day 3-5 we produces IGM antibodies, the beginning of the body’s defense. At day 7-10 we produce IGG antibodies, the real warriors. Day 14 it’s over. Know where you stand.
